The Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department (PFVFD, Company 2) was proud to host the 76th annual Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen’s Association (SMVFA) convention and parade.
On August 15, 2022, at 4:30 a.m. Company 2 units were called to a fire inside a Huntingtown home.
Engine 21 was the second arriving and assisted with extinguishing the fire, while Tanker 2 assisted with providing water to the site.
While clearing from the call for a brush fire in Prince Frederick, dispatch alerted and re-routed the same crew to the 1500 block of Stinnett Road for a working shed fire.
The accident involving one vehicle overturned occurred at Old Town and Hunting Creek Road. PFVFD assisted Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department’s Squad 6 with the extrication.
Engine 22, Tower 2 Assistant Chief 2-A were all on location where crews operated for a few hours to get the fire under control and perform overhaul.
Arriving units discovered one vehicle into a guardrail, on its side and the driver trapped.
Crews make a swift and aggressive attack, stopping the flames from spreading to the main portion of the home.
The resident on the property needed to be flown out and Trooper 7 was called to assist.
The crew from Engine 21 is the first to arrive on the scene of a working house fire in the Queensberry neighborhood.
