On August 13, 2021, around 3 a.m., Squad 2 was called to Charles County, Md. for a serious accident on Prince Frederick Road just before the Benedict Bridge.

The crew from Squad 2, Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department and Benedict Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad assisted with the extrication, removing brush to get to the unresponsive patient and taking off the roof off the vehicle.

The patient was flown out to an area hospital. Engine 22 handled the landing site and 2-B had the command.
