On Saturday, April 27, Squad 2 was alerted to the area outside Walmart for a serious accident.

Arriving units found two vehicles, one overturned, blocking the southbound lanes.

According to PFVFD Sgt. Jamal Mackall, one female was trapped inside the overturned vehicle.

Mackall says the seatbelt for the person in that car had to be cut and she was transported to the hospital. The driver of the black Honda was also taken by ambulance to Calvert Memorial Hospital.

The extent of both drivers injuries are unknown at this time. Units operated on the scene for 20 minutes before clearing.

The accident caused delays through Prince Frederick until the vehicles were removed.
