PFVFD Junior Firefighter Nick Boswell Places First In Regional Skills USA Competition

Congratulations to Prince Frederick Volunteer Firefighter Nick Boswell for placing 1st in the annual Calvert County Career and Technology Academy Skills USA. Boswell completed a number of drills including throwing a 14-foot ladder, hose and dummy drag, completing a CPAT by running up stairs and finishing a written exam.

In February 2022, Boswell competed with students from the tri-county area at the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department. This isn’t the first time Calvert County took home the first place spot. In February 2019, PFVFD’s Jacob Bowie placed number one.

We are proud of all of the young adults working their way through this great high school program.
