On December 5, 2018, Company 2 (PFVFD) was alerted to a serious accident along route 4 in front of the Prince Frederick Rescue Squad (Company 4).

Engine 22 arrived on the scene and located a truck off the roadway, down a hill with one person trapped inside. When Chief 2-A Roger Rearden arrived, he assumed the command.

The crew from Engine 22 extricated the person along with the assistance from Squad 6 (Huntingtown VFD) and Squad 7 (St. Leonard VFD).

The helicopter was landed on route 4, just north of the wreck. The patient was flown to an area trauma center.
