Fire Chief Fred Holzberger Makes Presentation To Governor Larry Hogan

The Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department was honored to welcome Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) to our fire department on March 12, 2018. The Governor held his regional Southern Maryland cabinet meeting at our station.

Hundreds of citizens and local politicians were in attendance.

The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office provided the presentation of colors and choir students from Huntingtown High School proudly sang the National Anthem.

The Event At PFVFD Was Open To The Public

During the meeting, the governor spoke about issues specifically relating to Southern Maryland to include road projects, job growth and budgets for area schools. Other topics included a heroin report from the community, a report from agriculture and natural resources and issues related to veteran affairs.

Special presenters in the event included Maryland Circuit Court Judge Mark Chandlee, St. Mary’s County Sheriff Tim Cameron and Master of Ceremonies Secretary of Veteran Affairs, George Owings.

We would like to thank our volunteers for their help preparing for this event and making it a true success.
