Fill-in Crews Take in a Porch Fire
On February 17, Company 2 responded to the 2100 block of Timeless Dr. in St. Leonard for the reported house fire. Because of this being our annual banquet night Engine 21, staffed by Huntingtown Co. 6, Tower 2, staffed by Bay District Co. 3 and Squad 2, staffed by Dunkirk Co. 5 responded to the call. First arriving units from Company 7 (St. Leonard) found a front porch on fire that had be mostly extinguished by the homeowner. Engine 7 finished extinguishing the fire along with Engine 21 who pulled the 250′ attack line. Tower 2 and Squad 2’s crew assisted Squad 7 with checking for extension into the house, none were later found. Company 2 units operated for 45 minutes.
