On February 24th, at 1500 hours, Company 2 and surrounding units were alerted to the 5200 of Long Beach Rd. For the Smoke in the residence. Engine 21, Tower 2 and Tanker 2 responded. Units were later advised of a working kitchen fire in the Home. Engine 7 (St. Leonard) made the initial attack on the fire. Engine 21 soon arrived and pulled a secondary line and assisted with extinguishing the fire. Crews later assisted in overhaul operations along with Company 7. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Company 2 operated for 1 hour.
