Company 2 Responds To Working House Fire In Huntingtown, Md.

On March 6, 2022, Company 2 was called to a residence in Huntingtown, Md., for an attic fire. The homeowner called 911 just after 3 a.m. while hearing crackling and seeing a glow.

Chief 2A (Holzberger), Chief 2B (Helms), Engine 21, Tanker 2 and Tower 2 responded on the run. Chief 2B arrived on location of a 3 story single family with fire showing from the roof. Engine 21 deployed a hand line to the third floor while Engine 6 (Huntingtown) went to the second floor and began to attack and extinguish the fire.

Units remained on scene for an extended period of time and completed overhaul. Volunteers assisted members of the Office of the State Fire Marshal. All occupants made it out safely and no injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
