On November 3, 2022, around 8:15 p.m. Company 2 was called to respond to a working fire in the 800 block of Chippingwood Drive in St. Leonard, Md. Assistant Chief Holzberger had the initial command.

The crews from Engine 21 and Engine 72 (St. Leonard) worked together to extinguish the fire. Squad 2 arrived and handled the overhaul at the scene. Tanker 2 supplied the fireground with water.

One civilian was flown to a local burn center.

According to Southern Maryland News Net, two dogs perished in the fire.
