Company 2 Assists With Fly Out From Neighborhood Without Road Access

On September 4, 2020, Company 2 was called to the 2000 block of Hunting Farms Lane for a medical emergency. This address is inaccessible to first responders, residents and the public because a storm with flooding washed out the community road earlier this summer.

The North Beach Volunteer Fire Department recently allowed PFVFD to borrow the gator to help these residents and we put it to use on by traveling through the woods and to the home. The resident on the property needed to be flown out and Trooper 7 was called to assist.

The Calvert County Department of Public Safety also moved their UTV to Company 6 to assist with accessing Ox Cart Road because of the same road issue. Our department and Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department are coordinating together to utilize these resources and to help these citizens.
