02/23/2024 was busy day of training during Super Saturday . Started out with CPR, followed by Blood-borne Pathogen awareness then firefighter safety and a presentation
The event was watched closely by students at Calvert High School, in Prince Frederick, Md. and was in cooperation with the Chesapeake Region Safety Council. According to their Facebook page, “CHS Criminal Justice Students will portray the at-fault driver and victims.”
On Saturday, March 26, 2022, the leadership of Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department hosted the annual Super Saturday training. .
The Nationwide grant goes toward the purchase of panels that ultimately make a tube around the patient and the farmer’s grain. The patient can be scooped out and the tube helps to keep the surrounding grain from closing back in on them.
Company 2 is hoping to round up more vehicles for training. Please know, for every vehicle donation you can receive an IRS tax donation letter for 2021.
On Sunday, August 18, 2019 the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department participated in a house burning drill.
Congratulations to PFVFD Junior Firefighter Jacob Bowie who placed first in the Regional Skills USA competition. Bowie was up against students from St. Mary’s, Charles and Calvert counties.
The month of February is usually one of the busier months for the Prince Frederick volunteers. We always host an annual day of training we like to call, “Super Saturday.”
