Capt. Robbie Helms Returns From Hurricane Deployment With Howard County Fire Dept.

One of Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department’s very own was recently deployed with his career department to help citizens in North Carolina.

Robbie Helms, Firefighter for Howard County Fire and Rescue, launched without hesitation  to the south to assist with humanitarian efforts. Helms and his co-workers teamed up with a crew from Baltimore City Fire Department to gain access to homes and deliver food and water to survivors.

While on the ground, first responders from both departments even constructed a bridge to help gain access to houses impacted and cut off by water. They also worked hand-and-hand with the FBI doing checks on citizens in the area.

We are extremely proud of the work Capt. Helms and the team accomplished.

Welcome back!
