In June each year first responders gather in Annapolis from throughout the state of Maryland to honor fallen first responders. On Sunday, June 2, 2019, five more names were added to the memorial, all were recognized by the Maryland Fire Rescue Services Memorial Foundation for their service to our communities.

One of the deaths in the Line of Duty included a moment of silence for Calvert County Volunteer Emergency Medical Technician Patricia Osborne who served in the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department. Reports say she will be formally honored in next years ceremony.
