6, 2009 - At 1439 hours, Rescue Squad 2 was alerted to
Rescue Box 2-13 for a personal injury accident. As RS2, E22
and AFC Ficke responded to Dares Beach Road and Wilson Road
as supplemental information reported people trapped,
alerting RS6 to the run. Company 2 units arrived to find a
two car accident with two trapped as Chief 2A established
command. RS2 went to work securing the vehicle and removing
the roof and doors. One patient was extricated as RS6
arrived to assist with the second patient. Both patients
were flown to area trauma centers for further evaluation.
Two additional patients were transported to CMH for a
check-up. Company 2 units remained on the scene for just
