| 6-18-07 The Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire
Department would like to express our condolences to the
Charleston Fire Department and the family and friends of the
firefighters that were killed this morning. Nine firefighters
made the supreme sacrifice in a warehouse fire in Charleston,
SC while searching for employees. The firefighters were
operating in the rear of a one story building when the roof
collapsed on them. This was the most firefighters killed at
the same time since 9-11. Capt. William "Billy"
Hutchinson, Capt. Mike Benke, Capt. Louis Mulkey, Engineer
Mark Kelsey, Engineer Bradford "Brad" Baity,
Assistant Engineer Michael French, Firefighter James
"Earl" Drayton, Firefighter Brandon Thompson and
Firefighter Melven Champaign. |
