23, 2007 - At 2353 hours, the Prince Frederick Volunteers and surrounding
companies were alerted to Box 2-13 for a basement. Engine
22(FF Milstead), Engine 21(Lt Sharpe), Tower 2(FF Billings),
Squad 2(FF Helms), Tanker 2(Capt Bowen), Safety 2(Hassler)
and AFC D'Agostino responded to the 4400 block of South
Shore Drive. Engine 22 arrived on side Alpha of a one story
single family with nothing showing. The Engine crew entered
the residence and found smoke in the basement. Chief 2A
established command as Tower 2 arrived and opened up to find
a fire in the floor joists under the wood stove. The Engine
crew made quick work of the fire and held Company 2 and 6
for overhaul. Units cleared in one hour.
