4-26-07 At 2234 hours, stations from Charles
and St. Mary's counties along with Calvert Rescue Company 2
were alerted Mutual Aid to Charles County for a house fire.
Squad 2(DFC Howes) responded with 5 personnel. Hughesville
Engine 23 arrived on side Alpha of a two story single family
with heavy showing. Squad 2 arrived as crews were evacuating
the house due to hazardous conditions. Crews regrouped and initiated
a second attack with Squad 2 operating in Division 2 doing a
secondary search, opening up and hitting hot spots. Squad 2
operated on the scene for 2 hours before returning to service.
