About the PFVFD

Protecting & Serving Since 1926

The official Prince Frederick area covers 20 square miles with a population of 14,000. It runs from the Patuxent River on the west to the Chesapeake Bay on the east, also from Huntingtown’s first due area on the north to St. Leonard’s first due area on the south. PFVFD currently has 59 active riding members, many of whom are Emergency Medical Technicians or Paramedics. The department responds to more than 1400 incidents every single year.

Mission Statement

The primary mission of the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department Company 2 is to provide a variety of services designed to protect the lives and property of our community we so proudly serve by providing prompt and professional services in the event of fire, rescue, medical emergencies, disasters, or any other event that may threaten the public welfare.
